Fuel Clerk Job Description:

Essential Functions:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Achieve a high degree of excellence in the daily operation and readiness for business in the fuel areas by fully supporting all KMA merchandising programs, and company and governmental policies and practices.
- Maintenance of all fuel facilities and equipment to keep in good working condition.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner, displaying a positive attitude, speaking highly of the company in the presence of customers and other employees, and keeping all information in the fuel center confidential.
- Follow established Personal Appearance policies and guidelines.
- Read and follow-through on fuel center bulletins and memos.
- Communicate with the Store Manager and other employees.
- Seek answers when questions arise.
- Document information on appropriate forms.
- Complete all tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
- Understand and comply with all company policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Comply with recommended safety guidelines.
- Show initiative in assuming additional tasks.
- Provide each customer with prompt, courteous service. Handle customer complaints jn a professional manner.
- Participate in merchandising by receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining awareness of store promotions.
- Understand the causes of shortages and work honestly and effectively to control loss and increase profits.
- Understand the operation of the cash register and follow all cash-handling policies to help prevent loss.
- Complete daily cleaning duties in order to provide the customer with a clean fuel center in which to shop by using daily duty lists as well as completing extra duties assigned by management.
- The Fuel Clerk may be assigned to perform other tasks in addition to those discussed above.
